Anxiety Support

Firstly, I'd like to welcome you all to Anxiety Support, so, Welcome!

I have spent several years suffering from, what has been called 'Disabling Anxiety'. It has stopped me from doing many things so far in my life. I've been passed from doctor to nurse, nurse to therapist and from therapist back to doctor, as I'm sure many of you have also. Eventually it dawned on me, there is no miracle cure. The only cure is within us, we can cure ourselves. But to do this we need support and encouragement. Many of us have loving, understanding, caring partners and friends. Although, some have neither. Some sufferers feel that they are alone and trapped by their anxiety. I feel that it's important to share our stories and our worries. But without that support network we can't. So I decided to set up this forum. A place where like minded sufferers can go to talk with others in the same situation.

Not only did I want somewhere for the sufferer themselves go, I also want somewhere the partners and friends of the sufferer can go too. I know that watching your partner/friend going through all of this can be distressing and I feel they too need somewhere to talk through all of their problems. Exchange stories with one another provide each other with some support.

Together we can overcome anxiety.

This forum has been set up for anxiety sufferers and their partners/friends to come to for support. It is not here to provide medical advice of any sort, only support and encouragement!

Any posts which appear to be spam, or are abusive will be removed. Anxiety does not discriminate between gender, religion, race, colour or even age. So neither should we!
